Titration Schedule

Both Victoza and Saxenda start at 0.6mg once daily subcutaneously for one week, then increase in 0.6mg increments at weekly-to-monthly intervals to limit nausea and GI upset. Victoza's typical maintenance dose is 1.2–1.8mg daily; Saxenda titrates further to a 3.0mg daily maintenance dose for weight management. Unlike semaglutide or tirzepatide, there is no weekly-injection version — liraglutide requires daily dosing for the life of the therapy, delivered via a pre-filled pen.
